Independent Discord bots

Privacy Policy

Applies to: Ram, Emilia, and Beatrice

Effective date: August 29, 2026

This policy explains what Discord data these three bots process, why it is needed, how it is protected, and how a user can request access, correction, or deletion. These bots are independently operated and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc.

1. Data processed by all three bots

Depending on the feature used, the bots may process Discord user, guild, channel, message, role, and interaction identifiers; usernames, display names, avatar URLs, current member or role information; and operational timestamps. The bots process only the data needed to provide their stated game, economy, community, and moderation functions.

2. Ram

Ram is a collection, economy, and community-game bot. It may store a Discord user ID with game progress, balances, inventory, character ownership, marketplace state, cooldowns, rewards, and transaction records. Ram uses current guild-member and role information for member resolution, profiles, leaderboards, role rewards, and configured booster rewards.

Ram uses Message Content for prefix commands, word-chain games, short interactive replies, and selected game answers. Word-chain entries may be stored until the game is reset. For a configured liked-message leaderboard, Ram may retain the message, channel, and author identifiers together with an excerpt of up to 1,000 characters. The bot attempts to remove that record when the source message, channel, or thread is deleted or when the qualifying reaction is removed.

A limited game answer may be sent to a configured AI inference provider for one-time generation or grading. Discord message content is not used by the operator to train an AI or machine-learning model. General server conversations are not sent to an AI provider for training.

3. Emilia

Emilia is a moderation bot. It processes current member and role data to apply, restore, expire, or reapply configured moderation roles, including when a member rejoins. Moderation records may contain user and moderator identifiers, role identifiers, display information, reasons, durations, outcomes, and timestamps.

Emilia uses Message Content and attachment or thread metadata only for configured moderation commands and restricted-channel, media-deletion, or thread-deletion workflows. Some thread starter content and attachment metadata may be cached in memory for the lifetime of the running process.

4. Beatrice

Beatrice is an economy and utility bot. It processes Discord user and channel identifiers for prefix commands, configured activity rewards, inventory and economy operations, quizzes, and community betting. Active quiz or bet recovery data may include participant and message identifiers, a question, answer or options, status, and timestamps until the activity is completed, cancelled, or otherwise removed.

Ordinary message bodies used for configured activity rewards are handled in memory and are not stored as a general conversation transcript.

5. Purposes and prohibited uses

The data described above is used to:

The operator does not sell Discord API data, use it for advertising, or use it for behavioral profiling. Message content is not used to train an AI or machine-learning model.

6. Storage, sharing, and security

Some data is stored outside Discord on operator-controlled bot services and essential hosting or storage providers. Data is disclosed only when needed to operate those services, respond to a valid legal request, or fulfill a user-directed data request. Ram may send the limited inference data described above to its configured AI provider.

The current production server stores bot databases, bot data, service logs, and on-server backups on encrypted storage. Access is restricted to the operator and the minimum service processes required to run the bots. Historical or offline copies, when retained, may use different protection and rotation mechanisms.

7. Retention

There is no blanket promise that every data category is deleted within 30 days. Game and economy progress may remain while an account or feature is active. Word-chain data may remain until reset; quiz and bet state may remain until settlement; active moderation state may remain until expiry or resolution; and a bounded moderation history may be retained for accountability and abuse prevention. Logs and backups may remain until their operational rotation or deletion.

Data should be deleted or minimized when it is no longer needed for the stated feature, transaction integrity, security, an active moderation matter, or a legal obligation.

8. User choices

Users can avoid optional game, quiz, betting, and economy features by not invoking or participating in them. The bots do not currently provide a separate global Message Content opt-out inside a server. Server managers can restrict a bot's channel access or remove it from their server. Moderation processing may still apply when it is necessary to enforce a server's rules.

9. Access, correction, and deletion requests

A user may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data associated with any of the three bots. The request should identify the relevant bot, the requester's Discord user ID, and the requested action. Reasonable proof of account ownership may be required before a request is processed. Some data may need to remain in minimized form for transaction integrity, security, an active moderation matter, legal requirements, or backup rotation.
